Team USA / Olympic announcement

We interrupt this summer of off-topic posting and various nonsense to post real, actual Mathieu news.

Team USA has announced their list of invitees to the summer camp of potential players for the upcoming winter Olympics in Vancouver. Mathieu had hoped to play in these games, but he'll have to wait. In a move that isn't terribly surprising (at least to me), but probably disappointing to him, he was not on the list of those invited. (see the whole list at: http://www.nhl.com/ice/news.htm?id=432241

The potential team is very young with not much previous experience. The defense is particularly new to high level International play, with only Brian Rafalski previously playing the Olympics and Ron Hainsey, Jack Johnson, and Ryan Suter playing at the World Championship last month.

Later in the summer when I'm bored, I'll write up my thoughts on the Olympics, the NHL's involvement in them, and this potential team representing my country.
